Report: Bahraini Airline to Resume Flights to Tehran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Bahrain's national airline on Monday announced that it will restart flights to the Iranian capital, Tehran, next month.

The airline said in a statement that it will resume services with four weekly flights starting on March 3.

Gulf Air said it re-launched flights to Mashhad in Iran in December, the Arabian Business website reported.

The new Tehran flights are part of a restructuring program launched last year by the airline as it struggled amid rising fuel costs, political instability in Bahrain and increased competition from other carriers in the region.
