Explosion Hits Afghan Capital
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - An explosion occurred in east Kabul, capital of Afghanistan, on Monday, the Interior Ministry confirmed.
"A blast took place in Mahbass square in the 10th police district of Kabul at around midday. An investigation is underway into the incident and details will be released to the media later," the ministry said in a statement.
The blast was a suicide bombing targeting a foreign forces convoy in the area, local media reported.
The area was cordoned off by police, the ministry noted, Xinhua reported.
