‘Down with U.S.A. Grand Prize’ Winners Awarded in Tehran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The closing ceremony of the “Down with U.S.A. Grand Prize” was held in the Iranian capital on Monday evening, with the winners receiving prizes for their works of art in photography, caricature, poster design, blogging and clip making contests.
The award-winning contestants were from Iran, Syria, Ukraine, Brazil and Turkey.
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Commander Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari attended the ceremony, and delivered a speech to the audience.
The cultural contest has been held to encourage the artists to demonstrate the global hatred for the US vicious policies in the form of works of art.
Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979, “Down with the US” slogan has turned out to be the main motto of freedom-seeking nations which are opposed to the White House’s arrogant attitudes.
