Tractor Sazi Defeats Mes to Win Iran’s Hazfi Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Tractor Sazi of Tabriz defeated Mes of Kerman football team 1-0 on Friday and won Iran’s Hazfi Cup.
It’s for the first time Tractor Sazi wins the title since the competition was founded in 1975. The Hazfi Cup is a knockout cup competition in the Iranian football.
Saeid Daghighi scored the only goal of the match in the 51st minute in Kerman’s Shahid Bahonar Stadium on Friday.
Tractor Sazi qualified for next season’s AFC Champions League as the title holder of Iran’s Hazfi Cup.
Tehran's popular football team, Esteghlal, has won the cup on the most occasions, with 6 wins, followed by Persepolis and Sepahan with five and four respectively.
