Tunisian Security Forces Kill 3 Militants
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Tunisian security forces launched an operation on Monday morning, killing three militants in northwestern region, according to Tunisian Interior Ministry.
The security forces raided a house in the northwestern governorate of Jendouba, following information on suspected terrorists in the area.
Tunisian Radio Mosaique FM said that the armed militants used heavy guns and hand bombs to resist, causing six army soldiers injured, Xinhua reported.
The radio said that one of the killed was involved in the February 16 attacks in the governorate of Jendouba near Algerian border when armed militants disguised as Tunisian security forces, killing at least four people and wounding some others.
