Commander Stresses Iran’s Close Watch on Hostile Moves

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Force reiterated that the country vigilantly monitors all the hostile measures taken by the enemies, something he said has made the Iranian Armed Forces well prepared to counter any foreign threat.

“The enemy’s entire moves along or outside the borders, and also inside or beyond the region, are being monitored and analyzed by the (Iranian) intelligence experts,” Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said in an address to a large congregation of people here in Tehran on Friday.

He then noted that such constant surveillance of the adversaries has enabled Iran to start to take the necessary preparetory measures to counter possible threats, proportional to their seriousness.

“The Armed Forces in general, and the Islamic Republic (of Iran’s) Army in particular, have a good capability in this regard,” Pourdastan said of the country’s readiness to confront the enemies.

He once again underscored that the Iranian military forces would never face unexpected conditions, because the whole hostile moves are under control and being monitored carefully.

In relevant comments on Thursday, Iranian Army Commander Major General Ataollah Salehi underlined that the country’s Armed Forces are fully prepared to respond to any possible threat against the Islamic Republic with firm and strong reaction.

“If we face a threat, we respond to it strongly and firmly,” Major General Salehi said on Thursday, noting that the Armed Forces’ military capabilities and high degree of preparedness have enabled them to respond quickly in the face of possible threats.
