Russian Envoy Calls for Expansion of Trade Ties with Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) — The trade ties between Iran and Russia should be increased, Russian Ambassador to Tehran Levan Jagarian said in a Saturday meeting with the governor of Iran's western province of Hamedan.
Jagarian, who is on a trip to the province of Hamedan, said that Tehran and Moscow enjoy desirable relations in various political areas, including Iran’s nuclear program, Afghanistan and Syria.
He also said that there are some concerns about Iran-Russia ties in the area of economy, adding that unfortunately, the volume of trade between the two countries has recently decreased and the current trend should be changed.
The Russian diplomat also emphasized that the obstacles in the way of promotion of trade ties should be removed.
