Direct Shipping Line Established between Iran's Bandar Abbas, China's Dalian

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A new direct shipping line linking the Iranian southern port city of Bandar abbas and the Chinese port city of Dalian has came into service on Monday, an Iranian official announced.

Managing Director of Iran's Cargo and Container Shipping Company Hamze Keshavarz said that the shipping line has been established for providing better services and advantages for traders.

The new line will provide costumers with faster and cheaper cargo transportation services between the two cities, Keshavarz added.

He stated that shorter transit time, removal of tranship and feeder operations, lower costs and final prices of goods, direct entry in Dalian customs are among the advantages of the new line which give more motivation to traders to use the shipping line.

Bandar Abbas  is a port city and capital of Hormozgan Province on the southern coast of Iran, on the rims of the Persian Gulf. The city occupies a strategic position on the narrow Strait of Hormuz.

And the Port of Dalian founded in 1899 lies at the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula in Liaoning province and is the most northern ice-free port in China.

The distance between Bandar abbas and Dalian is 7127 nautical miles (about 13200 kilometers).
