Speaking in a gathering of Iranian industrial workers in the city of Karaj, near Tehran on Wednesday, Ayatollah Khamenei laid great emphasis on domestic progress and indigenous development in all fields.
The Leader noted that acquisition of capabilities in every sector will consequently nullify the anti-Iran sanctions.
“When we make progress in every arena, the other side will further understand that (imposing) sanction is of no avail,” the Leader stated.
Ayatollah Khamenei made it clear that the world bullies’ illogical behavior towards the Islamic Republic is a function of Iran’s power or weakness, and underlined, “Wherever we stand on our own feet and become strong, they (world powers) have to behave politely and logically.”
The Leader also made a reference to the country’s success to achieve the nuclear know-how by relying on the indigenous capabilities, saying the Iranian young scientists managed to produce 20-percent enriched uranium and manufacture nuclear fuel plates and rods after the “world’s bullies” tried to obstruct Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities.
The Supreme Leader further highlighted the significance of research and development in the productive and economic organizations, and reiterated the necessity for consolidating potential of various sectors, including the industrial and academic institutions.
