Commander Terms Simulation Key to Maintain Combat Preparedness

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy commander emphasized the importance of simulation methods in maintaining military preparedness of the Iranian Armed Forces.

Speaking in a gathering of the IRGC Navy top commanders in Iran’s southern port city of Bandar Abbas on Saturday, Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi underlined that a high degree of readiness in the battlefield would be achieved by exercising simulation methods prior to a naval confrontation.

The commander also described simulating the actual defensive and combat tactics in the battlefield as a “priority” for the IRGC naval forces.

His comments came after the IRGC Navy in April equipped its vessels and speed boats with simulators.

“The simulators have been manufactured on a scale of 1 to 1, and we have now mounted them on the Ashura vessels,” Rear Admiral Fadavi explained at the time.

Unlike the previous types of simulators, the new ones are able to simulate the very real situation on the water, the commander noted.
