Minister: Ivory Coast Keen to Use Iran’s Knowledge of Car Assembly

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Ivory Coast`s Transport Minister Gaoussou Toure called on Iran to share its valuable technical know-how with his country in the field of auto assembly.

Toure made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for African and Middle Eastern Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian here in Tehran on Sunday.

The Ivorian minister also called for expansion of all-out ties between the two countries.

During the meeting, Amir Abdollahian Pointed to his recent visit to Ivory Coast and said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to expand cooperation with the West African country.

Toure, heading a delegation, arrived in Tehran on Sunday.  Amir Abdollahian had visited Abidjan, the capital city of Ivory Coast, on April 20.

Ivory Coast, officially the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, is a country in West Africa. It borders the countries Liberia, Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Ghana.

Since 1983, Ivory Coast's official capital has been Yamoussoukro; Abidjan, however, remained the administrative center. Most countries maintain their embassies in Abidjan, although some have closed.
