Brazilian Mosque to Extend Hours for Iranian Fans

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The main mosque of the town of Guarulhos has extended its hours for Iranian prayers during the 2014 World Cup.

The officials of the mosque are going to provide religious services to the Iranian players and fans, spokesman for the National Islamic Union told Efe.

The Iranian football team, led by Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz, has decided to stay in the city of Guarulhos, a city of 1.8 million inhabitants in the metropolitan region of Sao Paulo.

Iran, who is holding a pre-World Cup camp in Austria, has been drawn in Group F along with Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nigeria.

The West Asian team will play Nigeria in Curitiba in its opening match on June 16.

Iran will face Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 21 and June 25, respectively.
