TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The friendly match between Iran and Angola football teams finished tied at 1-1 on Friday.

In the match held at Hartberg, Austria, Angola striker Silva found the back of the net in the 42nd minute with a header.

Iran captain Javad Nekounam and Sardar Azmoun suffered injuries in the first half and were forced to leave the pitch.

They will have more tests to determine the extent of their injuries.

In the second half, Iran played better and Karim Ansarifard equalized the match in the 57th minute.

The two nations drew 1-1 in Germany in 2006, before Iran claimed a 1-0 win over them in a friendly in January 2011 - with skipper Nekounam scoring a 90th-minute winner.

Carlos Queiroz's men had played out two goalless draws - against Belarus and Montenegro - in their pre-World Cup preparatory camp in Austria.

Iran will play Trinidad and Tobago on June 8 in its pre-World Cup warm weather training camp in Brazil.

Iran has been drawn in Group F along with Nigeria, Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Asian powerhouse will play Nigeria in Curitiba in their opening match on June 16.

Iran will face Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina on June 21 and June 25, respectively.
