Iran-China Cooperation Ensures Regional Stability: MP
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The head of Iran-China parliamentary friendship group emphasized that mutual cooperation between the two countries is beneficial to the lasting stability and peace in the region.
“The Iranian parliament supports the expansion of relations with China in various areas,” Hossein Sobhani-Nia, who is a member of the parliament's presiding board, said during a meeting with the new Chinese ambassador to Tehran, Pang Sen, on Monday.
He described ties between Tehran and Beijing as growing, and called for more efforts to use "great" capacities to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
“Promoting cooperation between Iran and China as two influential powers in Asia would ensure sustainable peace and stability across the continent particularly in sensitive Middle East region,” he said.
The Chinese diplomat, for his part, called Iran an important and powerful country in the region and the world, stressing that that his country’s leaders are determined to promote all-out ties with the Islamic Republic.
Sen also said that Iran and China share common views on regional and international developments, emphasizing that this would pave the way for the further promotion of mutual cooperation.
