Vice Speaker Renews Iran’s Support for People of Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Parliament’s vice speaker on Sunday reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s commitment to supporting the innocent people of Gaza against a full-fledged war imposed by the Zionist regime of Israel.

“The Muslim Iranian nation… stands with the oppressed people of Gaza with its entire possibility,” Mohammad Hassan Aboutorabifard said in a parliamentary session on Sunday.

He also pledged the Iranian lawmakers’ unwavering support for Gaza’s resistance against the Israeli military offensive, and stressed that the Iranian MPs expect another “humiliating defeat” for the Tel Aviv regime in this new confrontation with the Gaza fighters.

Israel has launched a ground invasion in the Gaza Strip since Thursday after 10 days of bombardment of the enclave from the air and sea.

A total of 370 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 2,700 have been wounded since Israel opened assault on the densely-populated enclave of 1.8 million Palestinians on July 8.
