"Anifah Aman will be meeting the president of Ukraine, the vice president of Ukraine and the foreign minister of Ukraine on Monday with regards to MH17," the statement said.

Malaysian Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai left for Kiev on Saturday.

Malaysia Airlines' MH17 disappeared from radar screens in eastern Ukraine on Thursday, hours after taking off from Amsterdam's Schiphol airport, Netherlands, bound for Kuala Lumpur.

The Boeing 777 is believed to have been shot down 50 km from the Ukraine-Russia border. All 298 passengers and crew on board, including 44 Malaysians, are believed to have been killed, Xinhua reported.
