Iranian President Congratulates Swiss National Day
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday congratulated the Swiss people and government on the occasion of the country’s National Day.
In a message addressed to Swiss President Didier Burkhalter, President Rouhani touched upon the good record of bilateral relations between Tehran and Bern, expressing the hope that mutual cooperation would be promoted more than ever.
The Iranian President also wished good health and success to the Swiss president and prosperity for the people and government of the country.
The Swiss National Day is the national holiday of Switzerland, set on 1 August. It is an official national holiday since 1994, although the day had been suggested for the celebration of the foundation of the Swiss Confederacy as early as 1889.
