President Hopes for Iran- Kyrgyzstan Closer Ties
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday congratulated the nation and government of Kyrgyzstan on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.
In a message to Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev, President Rouhani pointed to the good record of bilateral relations between Tehran and Bishkek, expressing the hope that the two countries' cooperation in all spheres would be promoted more than ever.
The Republic of Kyrgyzstan, is a landlocked country in Central Asia, bordering Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. It obtained independence from the Soviet Union on August 31, 1991.
