Downing of Zionist Drone Signified IRGC’s Preparedness: Leader’s Advisor
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A senior military adviser to the Supreme Leader hailed the downing of an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as a sign of the all-out preparedness of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force.
“(The shooting down of the intruding drone) by IRGC Aerospace Force demonstrates the all-out dignity and preparedness of the force,” Major General Seyed Yahya Rahim Safavi said on Tuesday.
The Americans and Israelis know that they will face immediate and crushing response from the (IRGC) Aerospace Force in the future in case of posing any threat, he underlined.
The IRGC forces last Sunday tracked and shot down a radar-evading stealth Israeli drone which was intending to penetrate the airspace over Natanz nuclear zone.
The intruding aircraft was intercepted by a surface-to-air missile.
According to a senior Iranian military commander, the Israeli drone had taken off from a regional country.
