Persepolis Held, Tractor Sazi Moves Top of IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Persepolis of Tehran drew 1-1 with Naft Masjed Soleyman in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
Kioomars Cheraghi gave the visiting team a lead in the 4th minute in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Hadi Noroozi equalized the match in the 56th minute just seconds after coming off the bench.
It was Hamid Derakhshan’s first match in charge of Persepolis football team. He replaced Ali Daei as new head coach of the Iranian giant team on Wednesday.
Elsewhere, Tractor Sazi humiliated Rah Ahan 4-1 in Tabriz and moved top of the IPL table.
Saba lost to Esteghlal of Khuzestan 2-1 in its home game, Saipa defeated Malavan 2-0 in Bandar Anzali.
Zob Ahan also edged Paykan 1-0 in Isfahan.
