Serbia, US Reach FIBA World Cup Final

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Serbia and US basketball teams will play in the final match of the 2014 FIBA World Cup Final on Sunday.

Serbia defeated France 90-85 on Friday and advanced to the final match. The team had lost to France in preliminary round 73-74.

Milos Teodosic scored 24 points as Serbian team will face the defending champion and unbeaten Americans on Sunday.

US has previously booked a place in the final with a 96-68 victory over Lithuania in Thursday night semifinals.

Iran showed a good performance against Serbia in the Group A, where the Persians lost to the team 70-83.

The Iranian team finished 20th out of 24 teams in the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

The final match will be held at the Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid in Madrid, Spain.
