Sepahan Loses, Esteghlal Held in IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sepahan of Isfahan football team suffered a 1-0 defeat against Rah Ahan in the Iran Professional League (IPL) on Wednesday.
Mohammad Hosseinpour scored the only goal of the match in the 34th minute.
Sepahan was reduced to 10 men after Ehsan Hajsafi was sent off in the 60th minute.
Esteghlal of Tehran was held to a 1-1 draw against Padideh in Mashhad.
Sajad Shahbazzadeh gave the visiting team a lead in the 3rd minute and Mehdi Kheiri equalized the match just five minutes into the second half.
Elsewhere, Foolad edged Zob Ahan, Malavan drew Naft 1-1 and Tractor Sazi lost to Paykan 2-1.
