Vietnam Supports Iran’s Nuclear Rights

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A Vietnamese deputy foreign minister voiced the Southeast Asian country’s backing for Iran’s right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.

“Using peaceful nuclear technology is the right of all nations,” Vietnam’s deputy foreign minister said in a meeting with Hossein Sobhaninia, head of Iran-Vietnam parliamentary friendship group, in Hanoi on Tuesday.

The Vietnamese diplomat also noted that his country has always sought close cooperation with Tehran in the international circles.

Sobhaninia, for his part, stressed that Iran will never relinquish its right to peaceful nuclear technology.

Pointing to the nuclear talks between Tehran and major world powers, the Iranian lawmaker said a final deal is possible provided that the other side is serious in reaching an agreement.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) are in talks to hammer out a final deal to end a decade of impasse over Tehran’s peaceful nuclear energy program.

The negotiating parties are now in Vienna for a final round of talks before a November 24 deadline.
