Holder Foolad Suffers Home Defeat in IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Defending champion of the Iran Professional League (IPL) Foold was defeated against Saba in its home match on Saturday.
In the match held at the Ghadir Stadium in Ahvaz, Brazilian striker Marco Aurélio Iubel scored the only goal of the match in the 6th minute.
Foolad goalkeeper Alireza Salimi was sent off in the 90th minute.
Elsewhere, Zob Ahan defeated Padideh 2-0 in Isfahan. Morteza Tabrizi and Masoud Hassanzadeh scored for Zob Ahan.
