Israel’s Threat Not Limited to Palestine: Hamas
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israel is a threat not only to Palestine but also to Tehran, Riyadh, Doha, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) in Iran said.
Speaking to a conference here in Tehran, Khaled Qadoumi hailed Iran for supporting the Palestinian nation.
The Hamas envoy to Tehran called Israel “an alien regime” from outside the Palestinian territory.
"It (the regime) must leave the region."
He also referred to the significance of the remarks made by the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution about arming the West Bank, and stressed that it shows Palestinians have no choice but to resist Israel.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Qadoumi considered “unity” as the most powerful weapon against the Zionist regime, and emphasized that given the complex and sensitive situation in the region, Muslim people should stay united.
Hamas leaders have repeatedly praised Iran for the sincere supports it has lent to the anti-Israeli resistance groups in Palestine and voiced their enthusiasm for closer relations with Iran.
