Iranian FM Congratulates Counterparts on Christmas, New Year
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, in separate messages on Thursday, congratulated his counterparts on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ and the beginning of the new Christian year.
In his message, Zarif expressed the hope that peace, stability, and tranquility would spread throughout the world by following the teachings of the great Prophet Jesus Christ.
Earlier on Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, and Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri also felicitated their counterparts on Christmas and the advent of the new year.
Rouhani also sent a message to Pope Francis to congratulate him on the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ.
