Asian Cup: Jordan Hammers Palestine
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Jordan's national football team humiliated debutant Palestine 5-1 in Group D of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup on Friday.
Yousef Ahmad gave Jordan the lead in the 33rd minute in the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium. Soon after, Hamza al Daradreh made it 2-0. The striker scored three more goals in the 45th, 75th and 80th minutes.
Jaka Hbaisha scored a consolation goal for Palestine, who was defeated 4-1 against defending champion Japan in its first match.
Jordan, beaten 1-0 by Iraq, will play Japan in Melbourne Rectangular Stadium on Tuesday.
Palestine will face Iraq in the same day.
