World Handball Championship: Iran Beaten by Tunisia

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Tunisia defeated Iran 30:23 in Group B of the 2015 World Handball Championship on Friday.

Iran, who is making its debut in a World Championship, went into the match with four defeats out of four compared to its opponents who won one, drawn one and lost two.

Iran will play Chile in the round for the positions 21- 24 on Monday.

Jaleleddine Touati finished as the match top scorer with seven goals and was voted the ‘Best Player of the Match’.

Iranian line player Seyed Alireza Mousavi was full of hope for the future despite his side falling at the first hurdle. “We had one of the youngest teams at this tournament and unfortunately we are going home with no points.

“We can still smile because we were here and gained some experience. Our national team can be a strong one in just some years,” he said.
