Persepolis will meet Uzbekistan’s Bunyodkor in Tashkent on Tuesday.
The Iranian giant topped the group after defeating Lekhwiya 3-0, while Bunyodkor drew with Al Nasr of Saudi Arabia 1-1.
“I hope Persepolis will do its best against Bunyodkor. We have a good knowledge of them and know they are a good team," Derakhshan said in the pre-match news conference.
“We have had a good start in the AFC Champions League and want to defeat them on their soil."
“Defeating Lekhwiya 3-0 was a good result but it’s not enough and we have to keep going,” Persepolis coach added.
