TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The next round of diplomatic negotiations over Iran’s peaceful nuclear program will be held from March 15 to 20, an Iranian official announced.

An official close to the team of Iranian negotiators engaged in nuclear talks with the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) said on Wednesday that the a fresh round of negotiations will be held later this month, before the start of the new Iranian year (March 21).

The location of the upcoming talks has remained unknown.

Meantime, sources have said that the talks will likely be held in Geneva, Switzerland.

News of the next round of talks came while senior diplomats from Iran and the US have launched a new round of diplomacy in the Swiss city of Montreux since Monday with the aim of narrowing down differences over a comprehensive agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program.

Iran and the six powers are in talks to hammer out a final agreement to end more than a decade of impasse over Tehran’s nuclear energy program.

A plenary session involving Iran and the Group 5+1 (also known as the P5+1 or E3+3) will be held in Switzerland tomorrow.
