In a Wednesday message to his Bulgarian counterpart Rosen Plevneliev, Rouhani expressed the hope that the ties between Tehran and Sofia would expand in all aspects.
“I hope the Islamic Republic of Iran and Republic of Bulgaria could take effective steps to improve their bilateral relations in all fields given the high political, economic, and cultural capacities they enjoy,” the Iranian president said in his letter.
He also wished health and success for Plevneliev, and happiness and dignity for the nation and government of Bulgaria.
