Israel Fully within Range of Resistance Groups' Missiles: IRGC Commander

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The anti-Israeli resistance groups in Lebanon and Gaza can rain missiles down on all parts of Israel, commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said, describing such vulnerability as the definite demise of the Zionist regime of Israel.

“When the whole occupied territories are within the range of missiles of Hezbollah and people of Gaza, it means that the Zionist regime’s collapse is inevitable, and the regime (Israel) itself knows better than anyone,” Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said in a conference held in the southwestern province of Khuzestan on Thursday.

The commander noted that the Tel Aviv regime is frightened of unity among Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, adding that one of the main purposes behind formation of the ISIL (the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant) terrorist group was to disrupt that unity.

However, he added, such plot backfired and the sense of unity among Iran and those countries intensified.

Enemies of Iran created the ISIL Takfiri group some 15 years ago in order to counter the expansion of the Islamic Awakening movement and prevent the Islamic Revolution’s spread to the other regions, Major General Jafari pointed out.

Links between Israel and the foreign-backed terrorists that fight against the Iraqi and Syrian governments is not something new.

According to documents from Israeli hospitals, Israel’s army paid $10 million until September 2014 for the costs of treatment to the foreign-sponsored militants injured during battles with Syrian government forces, and the money has come from the Israeli military’s budget.
