Speaking to reporters in a joint press conference in Tehran Sunday, Sattari announced that the two sides have held negotiations to increase their cooperation on joint research activities.

The Iranian VP also expressed the hope that Iran and Republic of Tatarstan would boost mutual cooperation in the fields of medicine and technology.

Minikhanov, for his part, hailed the developing ties between Russia’s Tatarstan and Tehran, adding that the two sides have good cooperation capacities such as new technologies and chopper factories as well as tourism, medical tourism in particular.

Earlier in October, Sattari had paid an official visit to Russia, during which he emphasized that reciprocal visits by the high-ranking Iranian and Russian delegations signifies the willingness of the two countries’ officials for further deepening bilateral ties.
