AFC Champions League: Iran’s Foolad Held by Al-Hilal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Foolad of Khuzestan was held to a goalless draw by Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia in Group C of the AFC Champions League on Tuesday.
In the match held at the Ghadir Stadium in Iran's southwestern city of Ahvaz, Foolad failed to defeat Al-Hilal.
Dragan Skocic’s men created several chances but they clearly lacked cutting edge.
In the 60th minute, Foolad’s Cameroonian Mathias Chago hit the bar. Mohammad Ghazi and Mohsen Mosalman also failed to find the back of the net.
Also, Al-Hilal striker Giorgios Samaras missed a chance in the 72nd minute on a counter attack.
Foolad stayed at the third place in Group C with its third successive draw.
