Paykan Crowned Champion of Iran Volleyball League
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Paykan claimed the title of the Iranian Volleyball League on Wednesday.
Paykan beat Shahrdari Urmia 3-2 (25-22, 18-25, 20-25, 25-22, 15-12) in Tehran's Khaneh Volleyball Hall. Paykan is the most decorated Iranian volleyball team with 12 titles in the league.
"I think two teams played well and I congratulate Shahrdari Urmia over their beautiful performance. We won the title since our players are more experienced," Paykan coach Peiman Akbari said.
Paykan will represent Iran in the Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship to be held in Tehran, Iran from July 31 to August 8.
