Iran into AFC Beach Soccer Championship Semis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran hammered the UAE 6-1 in the 2015 AFC Beach Soccer Championship quarterfinals on Thursday.
Mehran Morshedizadeh, Peyman Hosseini, Amirhossein Akbari, Mohammad Ahmadzadeh, Ali Naderi and Farid Boulokbashi scored for the titleholder Iran.
Iran has been scheduled to face the winner of Japan and Bahrain at the Katara Beach in Doha, Qatar on Friday.
The tournament will serve as the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifier for teams from the AFC, where the two finalists and the winner of the third place match will qualify for the 2015 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Portugal.
