As pieces of the engine scattered on the apron, plane's wheels became unusable, Daily Sabah reported.

The pilot managed to stop the plane right on time as flames immediately engulfed the engine of the Airbus-300 B4 plane.

Firefighters and health team were sent to the scene and no deaths or injuries were reported.

Passengers were reportedly taken to another plane which was heading to Iranian capital of Tahran.

Iran’s aviation industry has been under cruel sanctions by the West in recent years, and there has been an almost total ban on selling aircraft or repair parts to Iranian aviation companies in place.
