Films in Fajr Festival’s East Panorama Section Announced


TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Final list of the films competing in the East Panorama Section (Asian and Islamic Countries) of the 33rd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) and its jury members were announced.

According to the Public Relations Office of the 33rd FIFF, the final list of films is as follows:

1- Mother, directed by Basil Alkhatib, from Syria

2- Mualim, directed by Nosir Saidov, from Tajikistan

3- Two Men in Town, directed by Rachid Bouchareb, from France, USA, Belgium, Algeria

4- Nabat, directed by Elchin Musaoglu, from Azerbaijan

5- In the Sands of Babylon, directed by Mohamed Al Daradji, from UK, UAE, Netherlands, Iraq

6- Men who Save the World, directed by Liew Seng Tat, from Malaysia

7- Jonsouda, directed by Faramarz Vakili, from Thailand, Iran

8- Utopia, directed by Hasan Nazer, from Iran, Afghanistan, Scotland

9- Norjmaa, directed by Bayaneruul, from China

10- Fish, directed by Dervis Zaim, from Turkey

11- The Buried Secret, directed by Ali Ghaffari, from Lebanon, Iran

12- Mazar Sharif, directed by Hassan Barzideh, from Iran

13- 360 Degree / Director: Saam Gharibian / Iran

14- What Time Is It In Your World?, directed by Safi Yazdanian, from Iran

Also Girafada directed by Rani Massalha from Palestine, Italy, Germany, France will be screened in out of competition section of East Panorama.

Maxine Williamson, Garin Nugroho, Davlatnazar Khodanazarov, George Ovashvili, Fabio Testi, Negar Javaherian and Manouchehr Mohammadi will judge the films in Eastern Panorama section.

The 33rd Fajr International Film Festival will be held from April 25th to May 2nd in Tehran. This is the first year that international section of FIFF is held separately from the national section.
