According to a statement by the Hezbollah movement, Nasrallah and Aoun on Thursday discussed domestic political matters, “on top of which came the presidential” question.
The meeting was also attended by Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil and Hezbollah officials Wafiq Safa and Hussein Khalil, it added.
An-Nahar newspaper had reported Wednesday that a meeting would be held in the "two coming days" to discuss political matters, particularly the possibility of resuming legislation in Parliament.
Lawmakers have failed to adopt any bills since last November, when they extended their terms by two years and seven months.
Hezbollah's statement said the two leaders also discussed “the terrorist takfiri threat endangering the whole region, and highlighted the necessity of fighting it by all means to protect Lebanon and its stability,” The Daily Star reported.
