Iran Finishes 8th in Asian U-23 Women's Volleyball
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran lost to the Philippines in the 2015 Asian U-23 Women's Volleyball Championship and came eight.
The Philippines defeated Iran in straight sets, 25-15, 25-21, 26-24, on Saturday at the Philsports Arena.
The host team, which exacted revenge from its earlier loss to Iran, scored 47 attacks as compared to only 24 from Iran.
It’s the inaugural edition of the tournament and served as the Asian qualifiers for the 2015 FIVB Women's U-23 Volleyball World Championship which will be held in Ankara, Turkey.
The competition’s finalists China and Thailand advanced to the world championship.
