Iran Defeats Sri Lanka in AFC Under-14 Football Festival
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran beat Sri Lanka 4-0 on Saturday in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-14 football festival for Central and South Asian region.
In the match held at the Istiqlol Academy in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, Mahboob Mojaz, Amir Hossein Karimi (2 goals) and Alireza Asadabadi scored.
Iran has been scheduled to face India on Monday.
A total of seven teams, namely Tajikistan, Iran, Afghanistan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Pakistan have participated in the festival.
The festival is focusing on development rather than winning.
All teams will receive a medal and certificate of participation.
