“Personally, I missed Javad nekounam. We should get used to his absence," Guccis told the Tasnim news agency.
"If you ask me about Nekounam, I have to say he can play for Iran though he is 36,” Guccis added.
“I believe that a football player should help his team as far as he can. Anyway, we must respect Nekounam’s decision,” Al-Wakrah striker added.
He further said that he still has one year left on his contract with Charlton Athletic, and noted, "However, I have to say the football is not different in Qatar, Kuwait or the European teams. I always do my best and try to help my teams."
