Assange has been in the building since June 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning over allegations of sexual assault against two women in 2010. He denies the accusations.

Swedish prosecutors have asked Ecuador for permission to interview Assange at the embassy.

The govwaste website claims the British government has so far spent more than 11.4 million British pounds, or almost 16 million euros, on what it describes as the “siege” against Assange.

The site lists what the money could have funded, including 9.5 million meals for those in need and one year’s schooling for over 20-thousand children.

Meanwhile WikiLeaks has published more than 60-thousand diplomatic cables from Saudi Arabia. It says it will release half a million more in the coming weeks, euronews reported.

WikiLeaks claims to have obtained email communications between Saudi Arabia’s foreign ministry and other countries, as well as confidential reports from other Saudi ministries.
