The Iranian team beat USA 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-19) in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium in Pool B of the 2015 FIVB World League.
“In the first match, the atmosphere surprised the USA. In this match, my players surprised the USA," Kovac said in the post match news conference.
"I am happy. But four more steps are to be taken to qualify," he added.
“Thanks to my players. We played like a team. All my players and my staff helped and we won two 3-0 results that was not easy. We tried so hard. We played a good volleyball."
“I respect the USA. They are the best team of the world because they are very disciplined and we should learn from them,” the Serbian coach added.
