Head of Moscow Int'l Book Fair Due in Iran Soon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The head of Moscow International Book Fair (MIBF) plans to pay an official visit to the Iranian capital of Tehran in the coming days as part of efforts to boost cultural relations between the two countries.

Head of Iran Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) Amir Masoud Shahramnia said on Monday that the Moscow book fair's director was previously planned to visit Iran on July 5 or 6 to hold talks on Iran's participation as the guest of honor in the upcoming book fair in Moscow.

However, he said, the Russians were willing to make the trip sooner than July 5.

According to Shahramnia, Iran has been selected as the guest of honor at the 28th Moscow International Book Fair due to be held from September 2 to 7.

The Moscow International Book Fair (MIBF) was established in 1977 and is an official member of the International Organization of Book Publishers. At the 28th MIBF which is slated for September 2015, the Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI) will represent Iran.
