Iran Drawn with Uzbekistan in AFC Women’s Futsal Championship

The Iranian team has been pitted against Uzbekistan, Malaysia and Hong Kong in Group A in the tournament's official draw at AFC House in the Malaysian capital on Tuesday.

Group B consists of Japan, China, Thailand and Vietnam.

The event invitations were based on participation in the previous two editions of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games with the 2013 edition providing the basis for seeding for Japan (1st ranked) and Iran (2nd ranked) while the rest of the nations were unranked during the draw, the-afc wrote.

The competition will be held from September 21 to 26 in Malaysia.
