Hezbollah Official: Terrorists Crippled in Lebanon's Arsal, Syria's Zabadani

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement's second-in-command Sheikh Naim Qassem said the movement's fighters and the Syrian army forces have managed to render the foreign-backed terrorists powerless in the two countries' border areas.

Sheikh Qassem said Takfiri (extremist) terrorists have been crippled by Hezbollah fighters on the outskirts of Arsal in Baalbek District of the Beqaa Governorate in Lebanon, 124 kilometers northeast of Beirut.

He added that the terrorists have been sieged by Syrian army forces and the Hezbollah fighters in al-Zabadani in southwestern Syria in the Rif Dimashq Governorate and cannot make any movement and change the balance of power in the region.

This is while, the Syrian army and the fighters made significant gains earlier last month and tightened the noose around the al-Qaeda-linked terrorist group al-Nusra Front near the Syrian town of Flitah in Qalamoun.

The joint forces managed to retake control of a number of hilltops overlooking the border, inflicting heavy losses on the terrorists in the region.

Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011 with Takfiri terrorists currently controlling parts of it, mostly in the east.
