JCPOA A Win-Win Document: Iran’s Rouhani

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani hailed the context of a final nuclear deal between Iran and world powers –the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)- as a win-win document that complies with the country’s objectives.

“The acceptance of Iran’s right to (uranium) enrichment, termination of sanctions and continuation of (nuclear) research and development are among our major successes in the negotiations and in the text of the agreement,” President Rouhani said in a Saturday meeting with a group of Iranian officials in Tehran.

The president noted that such diplomatic success does not belong to a specific group or faction, but is a victory for the great Iranian nation in its entirety.

Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14 concluded more than two weeks of intensive talks in Vienna.

The negotiations resulted in a conclusion over the text of a comprehensive 159-page deal on Iran’s peaceful nuclear program, after 22 months of talks.

Following the conclusion of the marathon talks, President Rouhani underlined that all of Iran's objectives have been accomplished in the negotiations.
