Iran's Economy Minister Leaves for Vienna to Attend OFID Meeting

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayebnia departed Tehran for the Austrian capital of Vienna to partake in the annual meeting of The OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID).

A high-ranking delegation, including Deputy Economic Minister Mohammad Khazaei, accompanies Tayebnia in his Vienna visit.

The annual session of the OFID will be attended by the economy and finance ministers of the member states of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).

The OFID is an intergovernmental development finance institution established in 1976 by the OPEC member states.

OFID's objective is to promote cooperation between OPEC member countries and other developing countries as an expression of South-South solidarity.
