Iranian Minister Due in Vienna to Discuss Trade Ties with Europe

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran's Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh will pay an official visit to the Austrian capital of Vienna later this week to attend an international conference on investment in Iran.

Heading a high-ranking delegation from Iran's financial, banking, foreign investment, oil, gas, petrochemical, mine and automotive sectors, Nematzadeh will leave Tehran for Vienna to explore avenues for further promotion of economic ties between the Islamic Republic and Europe.

Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayebnia, who is already in Vienna, said earlier that the conference on investment and trade in Iran will be held on Thursday and Friday.

He said the gathering will provide an opportunity for European investors to actively work in Iran's lucrative market.

Given the new atmosphere created after the successful conclusion of talks with six world powers over Tehran's peaceful nuclear program, European investors and traders are willing to develop their activities in Iran, Tayyebnia noted.

He added that the conference would help introduce the existing investment opportunities in the Islamic Republic to European investors.
